Mission Statement:

The mission of Miami-Dade College is to provide accessible, affordable, high quality education by keeping the learner's needs at the center of decision-making and working in partnership with its dynamic, multi-cultural community.

A message from Dr. Eduardo J. Padron; Miami-Dade College President:

Please accept my warmest welcome to Miami-Dade College. Functioning in a richly diverse South Florida community, Miami-Dade sustains an accepting environment that has singularly impressive results. As a multicampus, two-year, state-supported community college, with six campuses and numerous outreach centers, Miami-Dade is nationally recognized as one of the largest and best community colleges in America. Governed by a seven-member District Board of Trustees and a district president, with an annual budget exceeding $643 million, Miami-Dade serves more than 163,000 students each year in both credit and noncredit courses. As you browse through our website, I believe you will find that our broad range of programs answers the needs of our community in a very supportive way. I encourage you to talk with us if you have specific questions, either via the Internet or by telephone. Thank you again for your interest in Miami-Dade College.

Miami-Dade College (M-DC) awards more associate’s degrees than any other school in the nation and graduates the highest number of minority students. That is the finding of Community College Week magazine in its 2002 report on “The Top 100 Associate’s Degree Producers.”
