Through its technically advanced worldwide alternative distance learning partnership, AWC students participate in career, technical, or transfer classes offered at accessible learning centers.
Economic development programs offered in partnership between agencies, government, private enterprise and Arizona Western College prepare a technically superior, multi-lingual workforce to attract new high tech industries to Yuma and La Paz Counties.

The Yuma Education Consortium has evolved into an educational network that serves all age levels of Yuma/La Paz learners--toddlers to senior citizens--by utilizing new, effective, and efficient ways to collaborate and leverage resources that maintain and enhance an innovative life-long learning community.

Arizona Western College, through its focus on an integrated enrollment management plan, has opened doors to diverse students on a local, national, and global level with enrollment soaring by 200% F.T.S.E. Aggressive statewide marketing, coupled with computerized registration, financial aid, retention and articulation programs, has resulted in increased proportions of full-time students in the AWC/NAU partnership. The Arizona Western College/Northern Arizona University in Yuma International Student Partnership represents a student population drawn from over twenty nations world wide making the college a "multi-cultural" learning center.

Performance-based learning connections for men and women involved in athletics, government, music, drama, and leadership demonstrates that Arizona Western College exemplifies excellence in both team building participation and learning. Talent and education are combined to produce service oriented citizens that enhance the quality of life in southwest Arizona. Equal access for men and women in performance-based activities has opened more and more areas for national recognition and achievement for deserving Arizona Western students.

Arizona Western, because of the college's emphasis on community service and performance-based activities, is generating foundation support and access to external financial sources to provide improved facilities, scholarships and learning improvements. Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University share common campus and delivery sites in a cost-effective manner to provide "seamless" associate-through-graduate degree programs. City, county and educational financial partnerships have produced educational learning "parks" throughout Yuma and La Paz Counties featuring life-long learning opportunities for culture, recreation and wellness. The Greater Yuma Cultural Complex, located adjacent to the AWC/NAU campus, attracts thousands of spectators to outstanding culturally diverse theater, dance, music, and art events bringing an increased vitality to southwest Arizona. Lifetime leisure activities are developed and maintained through shared city, county, and educational recreational complexes maximizing use of facilities and resources. Livability indexes for residents in Yuma and La Paz counties continue to improve, bringing long-term prosperity and growth. The Learning Resources Center, jointly operated and maintained by the city, county, colleges and K-12 schools at the Yuma learning park, provides more efficient state of the art, immediate access for people with diverse needs for information.
