A wide variety of course offerings are available through the College's Community and Adult Basic Education programs, and support services such as counseling, employment services, and financial assistance are also available.

The main campus is located in Malta, Illinois, a rural setting six miles west of Northern Illinois University. The College serves students from eight area high school districts. The Kishwaukee College district includes the communities of DeKalb, Genoa, Kingston, Kirkland, Malta, Oregon, Paw Paw, Rochelle, Shabbona, Sycamore, and Waterman.

As the area served by Kishwaukee has grown, the College has experienced a steady growth in enrollment. To accommodate this growth, major renovations have been made to create additional space at the main campus in Malta; additional programs and instructors have been added as needed; and off-campus classes have been provided in various communities throughout the district to offer higher education with convenience.

While Kishwaukee College offers a variety of educational and training programs, cooperative arrangements with several community colleges in the area provide an even wider array of career opportunities at in-district tuition rates.

With an average class size of less than 20 and a student-to-faculty ratio of 15 to 1, students at Kishwaukee College benefit from instructors who love to teach and an environment in which personal attention comes naturally and students' needs come first.
