Maricopa Community Colleges

The Maricopa Community Colleges comprise 10 colleges, two skill centers and numerous education centers dedicated to educational excellence, meeting the needs of businesses and the citizens of Maricopa County. Each college is individually accredited, yet part of a larger system--the Maricopa County Community College District.
The District is one of the largest higher education systems in the world with more than 200,000 students, and is the largest provider of health care workers and job training in Arizona--a major resource for business and industry and for individuals seeking education and job training. It provides valuable job training and university transfer coursework at affordable prices that are a fraction of the cost of public and private universities and trade schools, and with convenience--many courses are available online, evenings, and weekends.
The Maricopa Community Colleges offer more than eight Associate degrees, 900 Certificates of Completion, and 9,000 courses, most of them transferable to four-year institutions of learning. Articulation agreements and partnerships with more than 30 public and private universities, including the three largest public universities in Arizona, help many Maricopa Community College students transfer for their four-year degrees.
The Maricopa Community Colleges employ close to 1,300 full-time faculty, augmented by more than 4,000 adjunct faculty who are specialists in their fields. Administration, management and support staff comprise the rest of the 9,000-strong workforce.
