The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track faculty member in Management Information Systems (Assistant or Associate Professor) for August 2011.

ROLE of the POSITION
The candidate will be a member of the Department of Management Information System and contribute in research, teaching and service. The Department has a strong research culture. Department members believe in high quality research. They have published and are expected to publish regularly in the highest quality IS journals. Research interests of current members include areas, such as IS planning, requirements engineering, design science research, human-computer interaction, IT success, cognitive modeling, software metrics, multimedia, outsourcing and offshoring, and software reuse.

Teaching in the department includes major and core courses at the undergraduate and graduate level for BS, MBA, and MS in MIS programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems or a related field at the time of the appointment from an accredited college or university. The department's selection criteria include the proven ability to produce and publish research at the highest level, the ability to contribute to the diversity of the department's teaching capabilities, and the likelihood that the candidate will become a good professional and academic colleague.

SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
