The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in sociology, with expertise in the sociology of environment and sustainability. The successful candidate will have a well-defined research agenda and a record of successful teaching in the area of expertise. Teaching additional core courses in the major is expected, with special consideration for research methods and/or statistics. Opportunities to work collaboratively with the Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development are available. Appointment begins on August 16, 2011; completion of the Ph.D. in sociology is expected by that date.
