Grand Canyon University is currently seeking a Director of
Digital Marketing to be responsible for the company's online marketing efforts. This
position reports to the senior vice president of marketing and will be instrumental in the company's
growth plan. We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of a quickly growing company, not on
a contract or consulting basis but full-time. This person will oversee up to four other individuals
and will set the direction and strategy for overall online marketing plans as well as direct the
day-to-day operations of the other digital media personnel.
A major University is looking for
a seasoned digital media expert who has demonstrated success at previous companies and who welcomes
the challenge of making our online marketing efforts world class. You will be measured on your
ability to generate a profit from our marketing efforts. We need someone with a technical and
analytical background who understands the business side of digital media and who is comfortable
overseeing a team.
You will work with enrollment & marketing to develop, coordinate, deploy
and maintain marketing or promotional landing pages, banners, and other marketing related web
properties. Your main responsibility will be to establish new and help to manage existing affiliate
marketing programs. You will also manage display advertising and email campaigns to help drive
student inquiries and applications and improve overall sales and marketing
efficiency.
Experience
A bachelor's degree is required,
master's degree preferred
4+ years of management experience a plus
8+ years of
successful hands-on affiliate marketing and display advertising experience either on the seller or
buyer side
Must be skilled in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a working knowledge of Web
publishing systems
Must have excellent organizational, project management, analytical, and
technical skills
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Must understand
site analytics tools such as Google Analytics, LiveStats, WebTrends and Click Tracks
Must
have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,
Access, etc.) and an aptitude to quickly learn new tools
Must have an understanding of how to
develop an email marketing strategy, including lead-nurturing, segmentation, A/B testing, content &
creative optimization
Must understand CAN-SPAM compliancy and ISP deliverability and how to
maintain a suppression file
