Duties & Responsibilities
HBS seeks a Research Associate to partner with a faculty member in the Technology Operations & Markets unit on scholarly research initiatives related healthcare. Duties may include field-based and library-based research, survey development, data collection and analysis, as well as case-writing.
Research Associates have the potential to work with Harvard Business School faculty on a variety of research projects and may develop intellectual property for HBS in many ways. Research products are most often journal articles, working papers, HBS cases and teaching notes, and books. Duties include: writing and editing; conducting on-site field research at local, regional, and international companies; gathering/analyzing data; performing sophisticated research utilizing world-class library; developing supplemental electronic courseware/case exhibits.
NOTE: This is a part-time term appointment, beginning immediately through June 30, 2011, with potential for reappointment. Part-time positions may be combined to create a full-time engagement.
Basic Qualifications
BA or BS degree required with a strong GPA from a top tier program.
Additional Qualifications
An interest in pursuing a PhD as well as familiarity with STATA preferred. Successful candidates will have excellent research and writing skills; strong analytical and conceptual skills; be at home in an academic environment; work well independently.
