Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track appointment in the Department of Educational Studies, beginning August 2011.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in middle/secondary social studies methods and curriculum, student teaching supervision, scholarly activities, advising, serving on assigned committees and community service.

Preferred qualifications include an earned doctoral degree; certification and teaching experience in middle/secondary school Social Studies, experience teaching college or university courses, and evidence of scholarly productivity including research and publication.
