The Office of University Housing and Dining Services at Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois, seeks a dynamic individual for the position of Associate Director of Housing and Dining Services For Residential Facilities.
The Associate Director for Residential Facilities is a full-time, 100 percent administrative and professional appointment within University Housing and Dining Services at Eastern Illinois University. The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, delivery of services, and capital improvements of University Housing and Dining Service's buildings, equipment, and grounds. University Housing and Dining Services facilities consists of 12 residential complexes, 300 apartments, 4 residential dining centers, a food court, and catering operation. It provides accommodations for approximately 5,500 students.
The Associate Director is a member of the University Housing and Dining Services Senior Management Team and assists in providing leadership to the entire department. This position reports to the Director of University Housing and Dining Services.
QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree is required; master's degree in a related field is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years experience in residential facilities management in university housing and dining services or related field. The candidate should demonstrate an understanding of a comprehensive University housing and dining program. Each candidate will be evaluated based on his/her experiences with: building maintenance services, custodial services, building renovation coordination, inventory and key control, purchasing, contract management, financial management, crisis management and technology utilization.
The successful candidate must demonstrate skill in supervising and collaborating with a large and diverse group of people. The candidate must have strong organizational skills, sound oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a positive manner.
STARTING DATE: July 1, 2011
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience
