Postdoctoral Fellow, English

The Department of English at the University of Nevada, Reno seeks candidates for a post- doctoral fellowship in transatlantic (American and British) literature of the nineteenth century. The fellowship is intended to help prepare a Ph.D. for an academic career. This is a two-year, non-tenure-track position, beginning July 1, 2011. Each semester, the fellow will teach two classes for the department, ranging from required courses to graduate seminars.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in English or related field granted during the three years prior to July 2011. Candidates must have demonstrated experience and expertise in teaching.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will go to a candidate with expertise in nineteenth-century transatlantic literature.
