Major Duties
Under general supervision of the Coordinator of Room Reservations and Academic Facilities, the Room Reservations Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day activities of Room Reservations. Responds to requests for classroom and conference room use; interprets campus space use policies for personnel across campus; prepares requisite paperwork or inputs requests directly into room reservation systems and works with special programs to accommodate their needs; distributes updated lecture room lists to various interested parties; maintains good working relationships with department support staff and other requestors and communicates with other room reservation entities on campus (University Licensing, the Tseng College of Extended Learning, Meeting Services/USU, academic departments with locked lecture rooms/labs, Library, Student Outreach, Student Development/MIC and Athletics). Processes room reservation request forms and communicates weekend room use to PPM, and DPS; schedules common finals for Math and Developmental Math, large campus events, summer extracurricular academic programs, and large volume of requests from University Licensing. Supports Coordinator of Room Reservations and Academic Facilities with special projects as needed and performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Equivalent to one year of full-time, general office clerical work that has provided the applicant with the knowledge and abilities listed. Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related field may be substituted for the required experience. Alpha/numeric data entry at 45 keystrokes per minute. Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; and office methods and basic filing systems procedures and practices. Excellent customer service skills preferred. Ability and specialized skills to: learn, interpret, and communicate standard university policies and procedures; perform multiple tasks in a busy work environment; identify and resolve routine clerical problems; screen telephone calls, visitors and mail; establish and maintain a cooperative working relationships; read and write a level appropriate to the duties of the position; and operate standard office equipment and software. Ad Astra Scheduling Software, Ad Astra Web Client, PeopleSoft and SOLAR knowledge preferred.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience. The university offers an excellent benefit package.

Anticipated hiring range: $2088 - $2631 per month.
