Job Description: East Carolina University invites applicants for a 9-month tenure track open rank position(rank will be commensurate with education and experience). Our Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) curriculum are fully accredited by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) and reflect the profession's commitment to promoting social and economic justice, the value of strength in diversity, and dismantling oppression.

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will involve teaching in both the graduate and undergraduate programs, coordinating the Substance Abuse Certificate component of our program, maintaining a productive research/ publication agenda, advising students and contributing to the needs of the University, community and profession.

Minimum Qualifications: A DSW, PhD in Social Work or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution is required. ABD will be considered but must have completed the degree before employment commences. Candidates must also have a Master's Degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited institution and at least two years of post MSW experience. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience.

Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of grant writing activity, the ability to teach across the curriculum and a demonstrated expertise in the area of teaching Substance Abuse courses.
