As a direct result of the campus commitment to assisting students and alumni with their career goals, Indiana State University's Career Center has 2 Career Center Assistant Director positions open.

As part of the strategic plan, ISU has placed an emphasis on "invigorating the Career Center to be a major support to departments" in helping students with career planning, internships and professional employment. Assistant Director (1 - Liaison to the College of Arts and Sciences supervises professional staff, administrative staff and peer leaders; 1- Liaison to the Scott College of Business supervises professional staff and student staff)
Specific Responsibilities: Manages, coordinates, and administers career services for designated college. Responsible for working with faculty, administrators and Career Center staff to develop resources and program content. Provides leadership to the designated academic units in the design and creation of programs and activities that connect students with internships and employment. Collaborates with employers to assist in their recruitment efforts and to promote the employment of ISU students and graduates. Provides coaching, guidance and mentoring to students in regards to their career development and job search skills.Provides supervision to designated Career Center staff. Develop and administer innovative Career Center programs and services. Serves as primary liaison between the Career Center and the designated college; manages outreach and collaboration efforts with faculty, administrators and students. Initiates, develops, and maintains relationships with employers. Develops programs that connect employers with students for prospective internships and part-time or full-time employment. Counsels, educates, and advises students, alumni, and community members through individual appointments regarding, but not limited to, choosing a major, choosing a career, writing a resume and cover letter, practice interviews, and job search skills. Follows up with individuals to monitor progress. Assists Career Center in overall operations, services and programs as needed.

Required Education and Experience: Master's degree in Student Development, Psychology, Human Resource Development, Education, Business or related field with 3-4 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree in Student Development, Psychology, Human Resources Development, Education, Business or related field with 6 plus years of experience.
