Job Summary: Provide direction and leadership for alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention, intervention and education services for the campus community. Coordinate AOD services offered through Psychological Services with other campus offices and community agencies. Provide direct clinical intervention services, (e.g., assessment, counseling and crisis intervention), outreach services and consultation to the campus community concerning best practices for AOD issues and services. Engage in assessment and outcome research to support the services provided. Uphold ethical principles and promote best practice standards of the profession.

Minimum Requirements: Holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselor Education, Social Work or other relevant professional field.

Is licensed or license eligible in Pennsylvania.

Demonstrates knowledge of the current literature regarding AOD abuse, dependence and addiction and dual diagnoses involving AOD.

Demonstrates knowledge of the current developments and trends in the fields of AOD intervention and education, and college counseling.

Demonstrates competency in working with individuals with AOD issues.

Is skilled in assessment, counseling, outreach programming and in working with diverse populations.

Has counseling experience with college-age individuals and clinical issues.

Preferred Qualifications: Has significant experience with college counseling. Has certification in substance abuse counseling. Doctorate or terminal degree preferred.
