Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Shenzhen invites applications from qualified individuals for two (2) faculty positions at the rank of Associate/Assistant Professorin the areas of Sociology, Southeast Asia Studies, Arts & Humanities. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in one of these areas: Southeast Asia Studies, Arts & Humanities, Sociology, Area Studies, Speech Communication, or International Relations. Candidates need to demonstrate evidence of excellent teaching to high-quality undergraduate and graduate education in his/her specialized areas by using English as the teaching medium. Each successful candidate is expected to establish and sustain a vigorous research program in the related discipline and to contribute to one or more of the following courses to undergraduates and/or graduates: Introduction to Western Legal System, Western Etiquettes, English Writing Skills, Introduction to Western Cultures, English/American Literature. Applicants with the experience of teaching those courses to undergraduate or graduate students will have priority.
