Stanford University seeks applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Director for Compliance Services. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance Services. The Assistant/Associate Director works cooperatively with the Department of Athletics staff, coaches, student-athletes, and prospective student-athletes to administer NCAA and Pac-12 regulations.
This position serves in a valuable role as part of the Compliance Services staff and contributes to overall progression of the Compliance Services Office. Responsibilities include: administer and monitor financial assistance for student-athletes; coordinate training table for applicable Stanford sports, monitor Stanford sports camps, coordinate Stanford Athlete Agent registration and assist with agent education, serve as primary contact for NCAA legislative relief waivers, assist with overall rules education and specific rules education for representatives of athletics interests; assist with research for and providing rules interpretations; and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of NCAA compliance experience within previous five years required. Master's degree preferred. Ideal candidate will have prior experience with NCAA financial aid regulations. Candidate must demonstrate outstanding administrative and organizational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Strong computer skills including Excel, ACS, PeopleSoft, and NCAA Compliance Assistant required. Must be able to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision. Candidate should have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Candidate must have effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write and present compliance-related information.
This position, along with all coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford's intercollegiate athletics program and for the reputation of Stanford University. This position is responsible for ensuring that his/her involvement with Athletic Department activities maintains the integrity of the University's reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and Pacific-12 rules and regulations.
