The Instructor of Automotive Service Technology teaches undergraduate courses in automotive service technology. The selected candidate will evaluate, revise and develop curriculum, work cooperatively with colleagues to maintain currency of academic resources and instructional materials, improve teaching and learning, and remain current in the field. Other duties include participation in campus and college-wide committees and task forces, maintaining office hours for professional activities and student conferences, and assisting in the development and implementation of the College's instructional and institutional goals.

At a minimum the selected candidate must have:

(1) Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in an automotive related field plus ASE Master Tech Certification and 3 years of experience as an automotive technician

OR

(2) Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in an automotive related field plus ASE Master Tech Certification

OR

(3) Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in an unrelated discipline plus an associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in an automotive related field and ASE Master Tech Certification

The ideal candidate will have Ford Service Technician Specialty Training (STST) certifications and experience teaching automotive service technology, including corporate training and/or mentoring new technicians.
