POSITION TITLE: Coordinator for Student Events

PERSONNEL STATUS: Exempt, Full-time, Regular

DEPARTMENT: Office of Student Life (OSL)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Assistant Director, the incumbent will serve as a resource to the University community regarding programming. This position assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive Student Life program that empowers students, provides leadership experiences, builds community, and enhances academic endeavors. Specific duties include: supervising and advising the Student Events Board; assisting students with programmatic efforts, teaching students to be agents of change, and creating a structure for students to be successful; oversight of the design, deliver, budget and marketing of campus events; representing Student Life at various campus activities including admissions preview days and orientation sessions; and performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Requires a Master's degree and at least one year of student life job-related experience. Must have: knowledge of college student development principles; a demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of diverse student populations and student organizations; and the ability to interact effectively with broad campus constituents and campus partners. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Excellent organizational and time management abilities; customer service skills; comfort with a high-paced, dynamic work environment; and a strong team player mentality required.

SALARY: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
