JOB DESCRIPTION:
The School of Management invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of the School of Management. Successful applicants should have a doctorate in Business Administration or one of the sub-fields of the School, as well as a strong record of teaching, scholarship and service appropriate for a tenured appointment at the rank of Professor. Academic leadership and administrative experience are essential. Active participation in professional and/or academic associations is expected, and successful grant writing experience is a plus. The Director will be responsible for providing leadership to faculty, staff and students in all programs. Management of departmental activities includes budget oversight, strategic planning, scheduling, personnel evaluation, curriculum development, faculty development and scholarly endeavors. The Director must demonstrate a collaborative leadership style, an appreciation for a multidisciplinary environment and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. This position is a 12-month administrative appointment with responsibilities for overseeing programs leading to a B.B.A. in Accounting, Business Administration (general or finance), Management, Human Resource Management and Marketing; Bachelor of Applied Science in Business; Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive MBA (EMBA), and Master of Health Systems Management (MHSM). The School of Management is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
