JOB DESCRIPTION:

Visiting Assistant Professor of English for 2014-2015. We seek a colleague to contribute to our BA and MA programs in English and the PhD program in rhetoric. We are a small, lively, engaged department that values collegiality and collaboration, both within the department and across the campus. Candidates should be prepared to teach broadly at the undergraduate level, including both surveys of British Literature, and graduate courses in their area of specialization. We have particular needs in Restoration and 18th century, but the ability to contribute broadly to our programs is more important than the area of specialization. PhD in English or closely related area required for appointment. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent teaching; evidence of scholarship; and a commitment to service. Interest in or experience with online instruction helpful.
