The School of Physical Therapy at the Texas Woman's University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position beginning fall semester 2014 (preferred) at the rank of Assistant Professor (9-12 month Academic year appointment) on the Dallas campus. The School of Physical Therapy, comprised of 10 experienced faculty members, is housed in the Institute of Health Sciences - Dallas Center in the heart of the Dallas medical district. Equipped with state-of-the-art teaching and researching laboratories, the Institute features motion analysis, human performance, and exercise physiology research laboratories.

The successful applicant will possess an earned academic (post-professional) doctoral degree (PhD, DSc, EdD) in physical therapy or a related discipline, have 3 years of clinical experience, have teaching experience in a professional PT program and be licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas as a physical therapist. Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: anatomy, neuroscience, orthopedics, kinesology and health promotion. Candidates demonstrating ongoing research and a strong record of publications are preferred. Additional responsibilities: continue to implement a scholarly agenda and participate in service activities (school, university and professional levels). Prior academic or clinical teaching experience and specialization are valued assets.
