HigherEdJobs Author in Residence Program Designed to Help Job Seekers with Their Careers in Academia

The program combines the idea of an old-fashioned book club with the academic staple of a scholar in residence, while using the cutting-edge technology of a blog with regular blog posts and comments.

Unlike traditional book clubs, this one is led by the author. Peter Weddle, 2010 Author in Residence, posted his first blog today about chapter one of his book, Work Strong: Your Personal Career Fitness System. Each month, Weddle will post a new blog from a different chapter of his book. Participants are encouraged to read the chapter, follow the blog, and then post comments.
