  2. HigherEdJobs reaches one of the largest audiences of faculty, administrators, and executives in academia. In fact, last month, HigherEdJobs was visited 2,468,545 times by 1,075,187 unique visitors (verified by Google Analytics).

  4. Many of the individuals who use our site are from underrepresented groups. According to web analytic service Quantcast.com, 59 percent of our visitors are women and 27 percent are minorities.

  6. Currently, 1,906 colleges and universities have positions listed on HigherEdJobs. These institutions include large state schools, elite private institutions, liberal arts colleges, community and technical colleges, and more. You'll also find some positions from organizations that are outside, but related to, higher education including associations, government agencies, and businesses that focus on the higher education market. Last year, 4,253 institutions posted positions with us. To see which schools have positions on HigherEdJobs right now, search our database by institution or by state.

  12. We employ a variety of strategies to drive traffic to HigherEdJobs. For one, we use a number of services to make sure HigherEdJobs remains one of the top listings on popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and many others. We also advertise in a number of publications targeted to the higher education community. Within our website, we utilize tools such as "Email a Friend" and "Job Agents" to keep visitors coming back and to attract new visitors. Each month, over 2 million Job Agent emails are sent to candidates letting them know about new job postings that match their search criteria.

  14. Go to our Employer Section. If your institution has a posting account, you can log in there. If not, you can post a job using our Single Posting Form. For additional assistance, contact us by phone at 814-861-3080 or email at sales@higheredjobs.com.

  16. If you have an account, you can edit your positions at any time through your account. If you don't have an account, you can email your position changes to sales@higheredjobs.com or call us at 814-861-3080.

  18. Job postings are automatically deleted on the removal date entered when the position is submitted. To change the removal date or delete the job now, login to your account. If you don't have an account, contact us at sales@higheredjobs.com or 814-861-3080.

  20. You can repost your job through your account. If you don't have an account, contact us at sales@higheredjobs.com or 814-861-3080.

  22. Positions posted through our Unlimited Posting Plan will appear on the site instantaneously. All other postings will appear on the site within 1-2 business hours. Our regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

  23. Can HigherEdJobs post my jobs for me?  (back to top)
  24. Yes. With our Automated Posting Service, we can pull your jobs automatically from your employment page or Applicant Tracking System. Contact us at sales@higheredjobs.com or 814-861-3080 to learn more.

  25. How do I create an account?  (back to top)
  26. When posting a Single Position, you can select to have a free account created for you. If you purchase an Unlimited Posting Subscription or Job Pack and don't already have an account, we will create one for you automatically. With an account, you can purchase and post positions, track your position results, edit and delete your postings, and purchase other recruitment solutions.

  28. Go to Password Help and we will email you your username and a link to reset your password.

  29. Do I need an account to post a Single Position?  (back to top)
  30. No. You do not need an account to post a Single Position. But, there are several advantages to having an account. If you opt to have a free account created for you, you will receive access to several features including real-time statistics on your postings and the ability to edit and delete your postings.

  31. Are multiple-listing ads permitted?  (back to top)
  32. No. Only one job opening is permitted per posting. This makes HigherEdJobs easier to search for candidates and, consequently, provides better results for employers (learn more). If you have multiple jobs to advertise, be sure to get the best rate by taking advantage of our Job Packs or Unlimited Posting Plan.

  33. Will I receive updates on the traffic my jobs receive?  (back to top)
  34. Yes. Customers with accounts receive regular reports listing all their open positions and the number of times each job has been searched and clicked on. They can also view this activity in their account at any time. Customers without accounts receive an email report after their job has been live for two weeks and again when the posting expires.

  35. Can I post a confidential or blind advertisement on HigherEdJobs?  (back to top)
  36. Yes. To post a confidential or blind ad, use "Confidential" for the institution's name. To ensure confidentiality, do not list the institution's name in the job description, application instructions, or affirmative action statement. If you accept applications via email, consider using an email account that doesn't reveal the name of the employer.   42. Just like Single Postings, jobs posted using Job Pack inventory can be listed for up to 60 days.

  44. Your annual subscription begins the day we create your account.

  45. How can institutions that do not have one centralized recruitment office utilize HigherEdJobs?  (back to top)
  46. You have several options. First, you can post Single Positions for your academic and administrative units and have them pay for the ads they place. Also, you might consider contacting units that typically advertise several positions and ask if they would collectively share the cost of an Unlimited Posting Subscription. Several of our subscribed institutions have done this.

  48. Customers located within the U.S. may be invoiced via email or pay by credit card. Customer located outside the U.S. must pay by credit card.

  50. No, we do not require purchase or insertion orders. However, if you would like to include a purchase order or insertion order number, you can list it on our order form and we will include it on your invoice. Purchase orders are included as a courtesy to our customers for their tracking purposes only.
