- Single Postings: Non-subscribed institutions and organizations can post positions for up to 60 days for $155 per position. We also offer Job Packs and Unlimited Posting Plans that provide substantial savings.

We employ a variety of strategies to drive traffic to HigherEdJobs.com. We use a number of services to make sure HigherEdJobs.com remains one of the top listings on popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and many others. We also advertise in a number of publications targeted to the higher education community. Within our website, we utilize tools such as "Email a Friend" and "Job Agents" to keep visitors coming back, as well as attract new visitors. Each month, over 500,000 Job Agent emails are sent to candidates letting them know about new job postings that match their search criteria.
Currently, 1,650 colleges and universities have positions listed on HigherEdJobs.com. These institutions include large state schools, community and technical colleges, elite private institutions, liberal arts colleges, and more. You'll also find some positions from organizations that are outside, but related to, higher education including associations, government agencies, and businesses that focus on the higher education market. We strongly recommend you list only ONE job per posting. For best results, each job posting needs to be listed in the correct category with a job title, application instructions, and job description specific to that job. It is virtually impossible to do that if you try to list more than one job per posting. For more detailed information, see why multiple listing ads do not work online.
Positions posted through our Unlimited Posting Subscription will appear on the site instantaneously. Jobs posted through our Single Posting form will appear on the site within 1-2 business hours. Our regular business hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm EST.
Yes. Customers without an account receive an email when their positions are removed, indicating how many times their job was viewed. Registered and Subscribed customers can view this activity from their account at any time. They also receive a regular email listing all their open positions, the number of times each job was viewed, and recently expired positions.
If you have an account, you can edit your positions at any time through your account. If you don't have an account, you can email your position changes to sales@HigherEdJobs.com, or call us at 814-861-3080.
Job postings are automatically deleted on the Removal Date entered when the position is submitted. To change the removal date or delete the job now, login to your account. If you don't have an account, contact us at sales@HigherEdJobs.com or 814-861-3080.
You can repost your job through your account. Or, you can reply to the email you receive when your posting is deleted. In addition, you can call us at 814-861-3080.
Yes. To post a confidential or blind ad, use "Confidential" for the institution's name. To ensure confidentiality, do not list the institution's name in the job description, application instructions, or affirmative action statement. If you accept applications via email, consider using an email account that doesn't reveal the name of the employer. A Job Pack is a group of job posting credits that you buy at a discounted rate per job, prior to posting your jobs. If you don't already have an account, we create one for you so you can post your jobs through the account using the credits in your inventory. You can post your jobs immediately or anytime within 12 months.
The cost of a job pack depends on how many jobs you purchase - you receive larger discounts when you buy larger packs. Plans start as low as $390 for 3 jobs. You can purchase a Job Pack through the HEJ Store in your account, or you can access the Job Pack Order Form to place your order.
You can post your jobs immediately, or anytime within 12 months.
If you purchase your Job Pack through an account, you can begin posting jobs immediately. If you do not yet have an account, we will create one for you within 1-2 business hours (M-F 8am-5pm EST). With an Unlimited Posting Subscription, you can post an unlimited number of jobs for one year.12 months. After you complete our subscription order form, you shouldwill receive youra welcome email, listing your username and password, within 1-2 business hours. Once you receive that email, you can access your account and start posting your jobs immediately. Unlimited posting subscriptions are only available to non-profit, accredited institutions.
Institutional Subscriptions are designed for central Human Resources Offices, Affirmative Action Offices, Provosts' Offices, any office that advertises positions across a single campus. Unit Subscriptions are designed for academic and administrative units within an institution. For example, a College of Business within a larger institution would be eligible to purchase a Unit Subscription, as would a Development Office or any other administrative office.

Yes. If your institution uses one of our approved partners, you can integrate your postings so they automatically appear on HigherEdJobs.com. If not, we can post your jobs by hand for a small fee with our Easy Post service. Contact us at sales@HigherEdJobs.com or 814-861-3080 to learn more.
You have several options. First, you can post Single Positions for the academic and administrative units and have them pay for the ads they place. Also, you might consider contacting units that typically advertise several positions and ask if they would collectively share the cost of an Institutional Subscription. For example, if three units agree to share the costs, they each pay only $665.00. Several of our subscribed institutions have done this.
Priority Jobs attract extra attention by appearing before regular postings with our priority logo next to them. The Priority status lasts for 30 days. View example. Priority Jobs cost $85, and must be used in conjunction with a job posting.
The Affirmative Action Email is a weekly email sent to our proprietary list of 138,625 job candidates. These candidates have asked to receive job postings from colleges and universities that are actively recruiting candidates in accordance with affirmative action or diversity plans. Employers can include a job posting in our Affirmative Action Email for $75. This product was designed to offer customers the ability to take a positive step to recruit a diverse applicant pool in accordance with their affirmative action or diversity policies.
When job seekers save their resume/vita to their HigherEdJobs.com account, they have the option of including it in our Resume Database. Currently, our Resume Database includes resumes/vitae from 102,054 higher ed professionals. Employers can search resumes by job category, location, experience and more. And if you have a current opening on HigherEdJobs.com, our pre-populated search will automatically match resumes based on the job category. Employers that subscribe to one of our unlimited posting plans receive free access to the Resume Database. Employers that do not subscribe can purchase access starting at $295 for 90 days.
Institutional Profiles include descriptive text about the employer as well as links to up to four web sites that give additional information about the employer. This is a great tool to showcase your institution. Employers that subscribe to one of our unlimited posting plans receive an Institutional Profile free of charge. Employers that do not subscribe can purchase an Institutional Profile starting at $175 for 90 days.
Regular single postings can be listed for up to 60 days. For an additional $55, you can extend your posting for an extra 30 days.
Yes. You can list the position in up to 3 categories. The first category choice is free when you post your position. Each additional category incurs a $45 charge. Employers subscribed to our Unlimited Posting Plans can add extra categories for free.
As the Featured Employer, your school will be highlighted in our Job Agent email. Include 100 words of text and a link to your web site. We send over 500,000 Job Agent emails a month to candidates letting them know about new postings that match their search criteria. As the Featured Employer, your institution will be highlighted in 50,000 of these Job Agent emails for only $595.
Brand your school so it stands out from other employers! Have your Banner Ad appear on virtually all job seeker pages of the web site, or target it to a specific section (faculty, administrative, community college, etc).
As the "Featured Affirmative Action Employer," your institution will be highlighted in the Affirmative Action Email which is emailed on a weekly basis. We provide space for up to 100 words and one hyperlink to the web site of your choice. Use this space to include your school's affirmative action statement or describe its commitment to diversity. The cost to become the Featured Affirmative Action Employer is $695 per week.
When posting a Single Position, you can select to have a free account created for you. You also get an account created automatically if you purchase an Unlimited Posting Subscription or Job Pack, and you don't already have one. With an account, you can purchase and post positions, track your position results, edit and delete your postings, and purchase other recruitment solutions.
No, you do not need an account to post a Single Position. If you opt to have a free account created for you, you will receive access to several features including real-time statistics on your postings and the ability to edit and delete your postings. But, you are not required to have an account to post a Single Position.

You have the option to be invoiced via email, or pay by credit card.
No, we do not require purchase or insertion orders. However, if you would like to include a purchase order or insertion order number, you can list it on our order form and we will include it on your invoice. Purchase orders are included as a courtesy to our customers for their tracking purposes only.
