POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:
The Art and Design Department is seeking an active artist and experienced instructor with expertise in studio and digital art. For more information about the Art & Design Department please access the Departmental Webpage - http://www.qcc.cuny.edu/ArtandDesign/

Duties:
Teach foundation and advanced art studio classes in two or more areas, which may include the following: 2-D design, sculpture/3-D design, painting, and drawing. Teach basic and advanced digital design classes including Digital Imaging. Teach Writing Intensive and/or Learning Communities classes. Participation in departmental affairs, including curriculum development and course assessment, and on college committees is expected. Provide academic advisement and assistance for students during the semester and as part of the registration process. Evening/weekend schedule may be required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required:
BA or BFA degree in an appropriate discipline, but a Master's of Fine Arts is strongly preferred, as well as demonstrated expertise and experience in teaching a variety of studio art and digital art courses. Demonstrated and sustained activity as a creative artist in the candidate's discipline(s). Ability to teach several of the following programs: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver and Final Cut.
