Saint Louis University, a Jesuit Catholic institution dedicated to education, research, healthcare and service, seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in Eastern Christianity (Greek and/or Syriac), beginning fall 2012.
The Department of Theological Studies seeks a person with a strong record of publication and an active research agenda that complements existing faculty strengths. The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in hand at time of application, be committed to graduate instruction as well as undergraduate teaching that supports the university's core and departmental major/minor programs. Candidates must be supportive of the Catholic and Jesuit ideals of the university, and be well versed in Catholic theological traditions.
