The University of St. Thomas, a private university committed to the liberal arts and to the religious and intellectual tradition of Catholic
higher education, is seeking a tenure-track position in Sacramental Theology at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level, beginning in the
2012-2013 academic year. The University enrolls more than 3,700 students with its main campus located in Houston's Museum
District.The individual will be primarily responsible for teaching courses in sacramental theology in the MDiv, MA in Pastoral Studies, and in the permanent deacon programs, he/she will also be expected to teach courses in systematic theology as needed. The successful candidate will work closely with the formation faculty of St. Mary's Seminary and should be willing to participate in some team teaching.
Candidates should hold a terminal degree, possess a good knowledge of the Catholic theological and pastoral tradition, and have a commitment to participate in the formation of Christian ministers preparing for ordination and lay ministry. Teaching, pastoral experience and a pontifical degree are preferred. Ability to teach in Spanish is also preferred.
