The Oregon Institute of Technology Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department seeks a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor with expertise and teaching experience in EMS as well as anatomy and physiology

This position involves teaching paramedic courses as well as undergraduate anatomy and physiology courses. The faculty member may also teach other undergraduate courses such as human biology as well as advise EMS students on clinical rotations and externship. This position entails teaching, service, academic advising and scholarship components.

Oregon Tech offers a number of joint degree programs with Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). This position will be located at the Oregon Tech urban campus in Wilsonville, Oregon. The Emergency Medical Services Department at Oregon Tech offers a joint degree program with OHSU, and is a leading provider of pre-hospital allied health professionals in the Pacific Northwest.

Minimum Qualifications:
Domain knowledge and teaching experience in two primary fields: (1) Paramedic certification with field and EMS teaching experience and (2) MS in biology, anatomy, physiology or related field with teaching experience in anatomy and physiology.

Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in biology, anatomy, physiology or related field, with teaching experience in anatomy and physiology. Paramedic certification with EMS teaching experience at various EMS levels, recent field experience, ACLS instructor certification, PALS instructor certification, and/ or PHTLS instructor certification.
