The MNTC is seeking qualified applicants with experience in the areas of micro/nanotechnology and semiconductor processing for the open position of Senior Micro/Nano Technology Process Engineer. The position's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Micro/Nano Cleanroom Processing: The MNTC is a full scale service center for internal and external clients. This position requires processing in the areas of PEALD/ALD, DRIE, sputtering, evaporation, LPCVD, PECVD, photolithography, oxidation, diffusion, and annealing to support client need and demand. It is expected that applicants will have experience with most of these processes.
Interact, Train and Assist Users of the MNTC: The position will be responsible for assisting internal and external users with equipment use and training, process design and evaluation, and proper handling of chemicals. This includes teaching safety and cleanroom etiquette, writing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), training users on microfabrication equipment and developing new processes. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work on multiple technical tasks concurrently.
Equipment Support & Repair: The position also involves installing, characterizing and maintaining equipment in the cleanroom as well as ancillary equipment. This will include working closely with field service engineers and infrastructure support with our toxic gas monitoring (TGM) and acid waste neutralization (AWN) systems.
