Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. with three years of applied research experience in a related field. A Master's degree and five years of applied research experience may be substituted for the requirements noted. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade ED.

Position Description
The Medical Imaging Laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering ( http://mil.louisville.edu) invites applications for a research associate opening. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Physics, Bioengineering, or related fields, with background and experience in Medical Imaging, Signal Processing, and Image Processing in general, and Cardiovascular MRI in particular. S/He will participate in research and teaching activities of the group and collaborate with medical collaborators and personnel at the school of medicine. S/He will have background on clinical MRI systems e.g., Philips, Siemens, or GE platforms and have a strong programming and software development experience using matlab and other high level programming languages for development of image analysis methods. S/He will write manuscripts and assist in submission of new grant proposals and will give presentations at conferences.

The initial period for the position is July 1, 2014-June 30 2015. Continuation of the position will be contingent on acquisition of new funding. Salary offered will be commensurate with background and experience.
