KIMEP distinguishes itself from all Central Asian institutions by the strength of its academic programs, the international composition of its faculty and the quality of its facilities. All classes are taught in English, and curriculums are designed along the highest standards of US institutions. The Bang College of Business (BCB) enrolls approximately 2,400 undergraduate and 350 MBA students, and also offers Doctor of Business Administration and Executive MBA programs.

Joining the Bang College of Business provides a unique set of opportunities unavailable at any other institution in the world. At the only US-style academic institution in Kazakhstan, KIMEP faculty members make a significant contribution everyday to the development of the entire region.

At present, Accounting is a very popular subject of study in Kazakhstan and the rest of the Central Asia. A large number of BCB students chose Accounting as their major or minor to meet the growing demand for Accounting professionals in the region. The Big 4 Accounting firms are among the top employers of BCB graduates and are involved with KIMEP in various mutually-beneficial endeavors. These include scholarships and internship programs for students, scholarly and consultancy works, and endowments for faculty. BCB Accounting faculty members are an integral part in these initiatives.

The Bang College of Business is seeking 3 exceptional faculty members at all ranks and specializations in Accounting fields. Ph.D. degree or an equivalent Professionally Qualified certificate (e.g. CPA) is required; Associate and Full professors must be research active, prepared to teach doctoral-level courses, and capable of supervising Master and Doctoral level theses. Salaries are internationally competitive, and the positions are available starting spring 2010.

Application materials must include a cover letter and updated CV. The deadline for spring 2010 appointment is November 15, 2009.

Almaty is a multinational city that seamlessly blends modern western amenities with traditional Central Asian hospitality and is a prime location for discovering and studying one of the most dynamic regions in the world.
