Job Summary: This position carries overall responsibility for both the research and
business operations of the Center for Research in Educational Policy (CREP). It is a twelve month
renewable appointment at the rank of Associate or full Professor in the College of Education.
The Director is primarily responsible for (a) proposing and securing new research projects; (b) identifying and attracting nationally known researchers to affiliate with CREP; (c) providing oversight for the administrative and business aspects of CREP; (d) ensuring the overall quality of CREP research and evaluation; (e) enhancing CREP's national, regional and local visibility and reputation; and (f) serving as liaison between CREP and the College of Education.
Minimum Qualifications: An earned doctorate in education or a related field with strong emphasis on research and nationally recognized expertise in one or more areas of research associated with PreK-12 education is required. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in seeking and executing sponsored research projects as well as demonstrated expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative methodology resulting in accomplished scholarship.
