The School of Pharmacy at Western New England College invites applications for the position of
Assistant/Associate/ Professor of Pharmacy Administration in the Department of Pharmaceutical and
Administrative Sciences. Expertise/interest could include but is not limited to: Health Outcomes,
Health Care Policy, Pharmcoepidemiology, Health Economics, Strategic & Financial Planning, and
Human Resources Management. This is a 12 month tenure-track appointment that offers an exciting
opportunity to participate in building an integrated and innovative learner-centered academic
program. The School of Pharmacy, which will be housed in a new academic building, will enroll a
founding class of approximately 70 professional students in the fall of 2011 pending appropriate
approvals. The department will consist of approximately 12-faculty from the various disciplines.
Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and group communication skills, record of scholarly work, desire to create a culture of academic success, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate in Pharmacy Administration or equivalent. A B.S. in pharmacy or a Pharm.D. degree would be an asset but is not required for this position. Prior experience as a faculty member in higher education is desirable but is not required. Responsibilities will include teaching in the professional Pharm.D. program and will be expected to pursue research and scholarly activity along with appropriate service to the School of Pharmacy, College and community.
