In this leadership role, the Vice President provides executive guidance and strategic direction for the Sustainability and Energy initiatives working through the College's Workforce and Economic Development and Academic Affairs divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the liaison for the College District with various
higher education, community and economic development entities that are focused on attracting and
retaining green-related and alternative energy industries to Northeast Ohio
- Works to
strengthen existing partnerships and relationships, as well as identify and initiate relationships
that would benefit the College
- Fosters and coordinates with existing credit, non-credit,
and professional development programs new relationships and training opportunities locally,
regionally and nationally
- Convenes an Advisory Committee to review all course/program
offerings and set future directions
- Seeks cooperation and offers support college-wide to deliver a consistently high quality presence in all areas of green and sustainability offered in all workforce and academic areas of the College, and performs other similar duties as needed
Position Requirements:
- Master's degree in a scientific or
engineering discipline; Doctorate preferred
- 5 years of work experience at an
administrative/senior level position
- Intimate knowledge of the sustainability community,
green building, and alternative energy sectors
- Experience with accreditation, licensing or
certifying agencies in at least one of these areas
- Successful budget development, grant and contract writing experience
