Assistant Professor, Nursing/Health Studies

The Nursing Program at the University of Washington Bothell invites applications for two full-time, nine month, tenure track positions at the Assistant Professor level.

The University of Washington Bothell is a growing interdisciplinary institution, and faculty have the opportunity to develop creative and innovative approaches to core nursing and other interdisciplinary health related courses. Successful candidates must be committed to working with diverse student and community populations. All University faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research and service.

The Nursing Program currently offers two nursing degrees and is developing a new health degree. The RN to BSN degree program, serving already licensed nurses, focuses on critical thinking, cultural diversity, relational leadership, evidence-based practice and inquiry, ethics and partnerships with communities to promote health. The MN degree program focuses on generalist preparation for leadership roles in healthcare practice, education, administration and research settings. The Nursing Program is currently expanding its scope in health studies, developing a new undergraduate degree in health. Successful candidates will be involved in teaching in all three degree programs.

The Bothell campus of the University of Washington is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Seattle. UW Bothell serves approximately 2500 traditional and non-traditional students and also offers degrees in Business, Computing and Software Systems, Education, Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, Nursing and Science & Technology.
