CLINICAL/RESEARCH NUTRITIONIST II
DIVISION OF MEDICAL NUTRITION
UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

We are searching for a Clinical/Research Nutritionist II to conduct individual dietary assessments and nutrition counseling, as well as individual and group interventions in an out-patient clinic. The individual will serve in a research capacity for grant-funded research; resident, student, and faculty clinical projects; and clinical drug trials as needed and in a teaching capacity for medical students, residents and other allied health professionals rotating through the clinic. The incumbent serves as the manager of Special Clinical Projects. The position will assist with the maintenance of clinical equipment, supplies, and procedures manuals; develops policies and procedures for special clinical projects; and assists with the development of medical nutrition therapy and wellness educational materials for patients. The incumbent will also monitor progress and compliance of subjects according to study protocols; collect data; and recruit and screen study subjects for grant-funded research, clinical projects and clinical drug trials as needed.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution with a degree in nutrition and two years experience in individual and group dietary counseling or a Master's Degree and one year of experience as stated. Candidates must be a Credentialed Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association.
