ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

We are recruiting for an Assistant Professor in our Internal Medicine Department who will practice general internal medicine at primarily in an outpatient clinic with occasional inpatient coverage. The incumbent will be expected to participate in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and teach through didactics at clinics or core lectures. They will be a member of the practice plan and will be expected to participate in committees in the department, School of Medicine and University of Nevada Reno. This position will be filled at either part-time or full-time at an FTE of .70 to 1.00.
Requirements: MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited residency and/or fellowship and clinical patient care experience in the United States. Must be board certified or board eligible by June 2010 and possess and maintain a state board of pharmacy license and DEA license. Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license and malpractice insurance. Clinical patient care experience in the Veteran's Hospital Administration system is preferred.
