ROLE of the POSITION
The Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting and coordinating research activities within the scope of the NV Institute for Children's Research and Policy. Duties will include design, implementation, collection and management of research and data; data cleaning, qualitative and quantitative analysis; grant development; literature reviews; writing reports and publications; oral presentations; collaboration with community partners. The particular duties of this position are dependent upon grants and/or contracts awarded.

QUALIFICATIONS
Research Analyst: Minimum of a Master's degree in a related social science with an emphasis on research methods/statistics courses. Additionally, the candidate should have at least two years of related experience conducting social science research, preferably on children's issues. The candidate should have the ability to coordinate and conduct social science and evaluation research; knowledge of research methods, database development, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and human subjects; excellent computer skills in word processing and data management; proficient in SPSS; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Publications in a related field are helpful, but not required. The candidate should have an understanding of data warehousing and experience working with large datasets.

SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
