Seattle University has an exciting, dynamic opportunity for an Associate Vice President for Information Technology/ Chief Information Officer to join our community.
Seattle University, the largest independent university in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Vice President for Information Technology. As Seattle University's Chief Information Officer, this position will be responsible for guiding the use of information technology to support academic and operational goals. The Associate VP/CIO will be the client liaison to the university's technology services provider, SunGard Higher Education, and will guide the work of the Office of Information Technology/SunGard staff and manage the technology services contract. This position reports to the Vice President for University Planning/Vice Provost.

Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in field
relating to information technology management and a minimum of ten years experience with five years in a senior leadership role in
information technology or equivalent experience. Demonstrated record of information technology leadership and innovation. Ability to
communicate with people of varying levels of technical competency. Familiarity with negotiating and administering contracts. All candidates
must show a demonstrated commitment to diversity and the university's mission, vision, and values. This position requires a criminal history
background check.
Preferred Qualifications* Higher education experience preferred but not required. * Established
relationships with Puget Sound-area technology companies. * Experience in the role of Chief Information Officer.
