Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychiatry*, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (Reno)
We are searching to fill a full-time non-tenure track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with the
Psychiatry Department, University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno campus. This position is responsible for both clinical and classroom
teaching of medical students, psychiatry residents and child psychiatry fellows, including clinical supervision and small group teaching.
The incumbent will also provide direct clinical care in clinical settings affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have MD or equivalent degree with successful completion of an accredited Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry fellowship by the time of hire. Must be ABPN certified or preparing for certification in both general and child and adolescent
psychiatry. Must have excellent communication skills. Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, malpractice
insurance, and must be able to be successfully credentialed by Northern Nevada teaching hospitals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience with medical students and in graduate medical education desirable.
