With a student- to- faculty ratio of 13:1, the College engages 2500+ students in 80+ rigorous academic programs in the liberal arts, sciences, and pre-professional fields.
The Foreign Language Department invites applications for a three-year term renewable Assistant Professor position in Arabic to begin August 2013. The primary task of this position is to develop a three-year course sequence in Arabic; during the process of development, the successful candidate will also teach courses in Spanish and, depending on the need, in Middle Eastern Studies. The annual teaching load is 3 courses per semester (6 per year) and candidates should give evidence of commitment to and success in undergraduate teaching, as well as evidence of scholarly activity. The successful candidate will have PhD in hand by May 15, 2013. Salary will be competitive and the position includes faculty development funds for the support of research and professional travel.
