Millikin University's Tabor School of Business, an ACBSP accredited institution, is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in Accountancy at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin August, 2013. We are primarily a teaching school that values research. We are seeking a person qualified to teach primarily Intermediate Accounting, with secondary interests in financial accounting, accounting information systems, and/or auditing.

Tenure-track faculty members are expected to (1) teach primarily at the undergraduate level, (2) advise students as assigned, (3) maintain an active stream of research or professional activities, and (4) be actively engaged in college and university governance through service.

A Ph.D. in accounting from an AACBS accredited institution is preferred. Candidates with an MBA/ MS-Accounting, CPA, and relevant professional experience will also be considered.

The Tabor School of Business offers a comprehensive business curriculum with seven ACBSP accredited undergraduate degrees in the major functional areas, a leadership-focused MBA, and evening programs in accounting and management. Our graduates' placement rate is outstanding. We strongly advocate performance learning education through, client-based assignments, student consulting, internships and opportunities with our international partners. The Tabor School has close relationships with the business community that includes local Fortune 50 firms and numerous entrepreneurs. Our Center for Entrepreneurship is nationally recognized as a leader that includes a unique Arts and Entrepreneurship program. The Center provides faculty a wealth of opportunities for scholarly research, student projects, and consulting opportunities.

Millikin University (founded in 1901) is a selective, independent, comprehensive institution, located on a beautiful 75-acre residential campus.
