GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Applicants should have a background in one or preferably several of the following: bulk crystal growth, Czochralski process, Top Seeded Solution Growth, and should be familiar with, furnaces, vacuum equipment, induction power supplies, PID control, etc.

Candidates should be capable of working independently or with others, leading a small team of students, and preferably have a strong record of publication. Research projects are focused on producing crystals having high purity and perfection for nuclear detector application.

Key Responsibility 1
Grow single crystals as need for the current project

Key Responsibility 2
Keep the lab functional, well organized, well supplied, and safe.

Key Responsibility 3
Write progress reports and papers.

Communications:
Writing of progress reports and papers on research conducted and verbal communication with Professor and small team of students

Education & Experience:
Ph.D required

Preferred Skills:
Background in one or preferably several of the following: bulk crystal growth, Czochralski process, Top Seeded Solution Growth, and should be familiar with, furnaces, vacuum equipment, induction power supplies, PID control

Strong record of publication perferred
