This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsJob Description: The primary purpose of this position is to assist the 1 Card Director and other staff in all technical aspects of the day-to-day operation of the 1 Card Office. This employee is also responsible for providing technical support to 1 Card users across campus. This employee is responsible for providing primary troubleshooting with the system, including maintenance of readers, servers, remote computer terminals, and other equipment associated with the 1 Card System. This employee is responsible for performing periodic system maintenance and/or upgrades to all workstations as needed and will have a key role in software/system upgrades for both 1 Card System servers. The employee should be highly knowledgeable with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Word and Excel. This employee will be responsible for loading and configuring new/surplus computers for the 1 Card System and staff. This employee is responsible for overall project management of 1 Card building access installations. This employee will provide reports to users upon request, visit various sites on campus in order to provide security quotes, and will place service calls with the vendor as needed. This employee is responsible for assisting with the coordination of new installations of card readers with all necessary parties. This employee is responsible for assisting with summer orientation sessions and ID card production. This employee may be on-call 24/7 for part of the month.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline and one year of experience in theinformation technology field related to the area of assignment; or Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in theinformation technology field related to the area of assignment; or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology,or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
Salary Grade Equivalent: 72 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
