Job Description: This position will serve in an administrative and finance role for the Business Affairs Office and
Chairman's Office. The Business Affairs Office is a customer service resource for the faculty and staff within the department of Pediatrics
and any external customers seeking information pertaining to the department, and will make accommodations to provide the best customer
service that we can as needed. This position will be the first point of contact for anyone entering the Business Affairs office. Candidates
must have exceptional customer service skills, the ability to think and work independently with minimal guidance, be willing to cross train,
and be willing to be a part of a team. The selected candidate must be willing to help complete any projects that arise during the year to
insure they are completed by the deadline. This position's responsibilities include but are not limited to, serving as the departmental
resource for travel procedures by reviewing submitted travel forms for accuracy and attending training to stay up to date on changing
procedures, functioning as the leave clerk for the department which includes; maintaining accurate leave records consisting of annual
vacation, sick, and child involvement/community service leave for all CSS/SPA and EPA employees on a monthly basis, completing electronic
personnel action forms (EPAFs) for the department of pediatrics as needed, working closely with the faculty to process North Carolina
Medical Board License fees, DEA renewals, and North Carolina and Vidant Medical Society dues, and other duties as needed. CLINICAL SUPPORT
POSITION - NOT SUBJECT TO STATE PERSONNEL ACTThe ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center (formerly Pitt County Memorial Hospital). Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
Salary Grade Equivalent: 61 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
