The City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) District 508, is the largest community college system in Illinois and one of the largest in the nation, with 5,800 faculty and staff serving 120,000 students at seven campuses and thirteen satellite sites city-wide. The City Colleges of Chicago is currently in the midst of a collaborative effort to review and revise CCC programs and practices to ensure students leave CCC college-ready, career-ready and prepared to pursue their life's goals.
CCC includes seven colleges: Richard J. Daley College, Kennedy-King College, Malcolm X College, Olive-Harvey College, Harry S Truman College, Harold Washington College and Wilbur Wright College. The system also oversees: the Washburne Culinary Institute, the French Pastry School, two restaurants, five Child Development Centers, the Center for Distance learning, the Workforce Institute, the public broadcast station WYCC-TV Channel 20 and radio station WKKC-FM 89.3FM.
Assists in the compiling of statistics and the conducting of various research and evaluation studies for the City College System.
Assists faculty and staff members in the design and execution of district wide research evaluation achievement and diagnostic studies. Formulates and plans specific objectives of individual studies. Designs and distributes student questionnaires for the collection of experimental data. Assists in the coordination of the exemption listing program, student evaluation of instructors program and testing development. Computes statistical data from lists and analyzes questionnaire and test results.
Designs letter programs or courses in response to data compiled. Assists the Illinois Community College Board in the coordination of research programs for the implementation of the Management Information Systems. Assists the Vice Chancellors in the formulation and execution of evaluation studies. Prepares reports of current or past studies and performs library research in the compilation of biographic and related materials for usage in evaluations or studies. Edits any papers for publication concerning studies and testing data and participates in workshops and seminars promoting research and evaluation. Responds to inquires from users of test data.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology or Psychology supplemented by two years of progressively responsible experience in market or survey research or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
Considerable knowledge of the methods and theories applied in test development, construction and analysis. Considerable knowledge of the application and interpretation of statistical data. Ability to gather, organize, interpret and analyze data; to work independently and with individuals in a professional manner; and the ability to write professional, technical and administrative reports. Skill in the application of modern methods and practices used in the analysis and presentation of data. Skill in using a calculator and typewriter.
