This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsThe University of Mary, Bismarck, ND, is seeking a qualified candidate for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Mathematics beginning August 2013. Candidates need to have earned a Ph.D in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or Statistics by August 31, 2013. Typical semester responsibilities include teaching 2-3 general core classes in mathematics or statistics and 1-2 mathematics courses at the sophomore level or higher. There may also be opportunities to offer a course at our Rome campus or in our interdisciplinary Catholic Studies program. The successful candidate will be student centered; will demonstrate the ability to help students of all levels learn and use the insights, principles, laws, and axioms of mathematics; will display enthusiasm and excitement for teaching and learning, for advising students (especially in mathematics and mathematics in education), and for research or program development; must demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission of the University of Mary
