Standard Hiring Range: Programmer Analyst II $41,769 - $45,000/Annual
Programmer Analyst III $45,338 - $49,872/Annual

The Programmer Analysts performs tasks and activities related to developing and maintaining college enterprise information systems and application programming/coding. Work on projects, tasks and activities related to application development, maintenance and enhancement of an ERP, Enterprise Resource Planning system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Programmer Analyst II

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology, Management Information Systems or related field OR

2. A combination of relevant college level education and software development programming experience to total 2 years. (Thirty college credits is equivalent to one year of experience).

3. Experience in working with SQL.

Programmer Analyst III

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology, Management Information Systems or related field. OR

2. A combination of relevant college level education and software development programming experience to total 3 years. (Thirty college credits is equivalentto one year of experience).

3. Experience in working with SQL.

CRITERIA: The following criteria, which are not the sole criteria used in the final hiring decision, will be used to review the applications of those persons who meet the stated minimum qualifications and to select those qualified applicants who will be interviewed. Other information and observations made during the interview process may be considered in the selection process. Resume/CV and cover letter are required with the application. 1.Extent of experience, knowledge and/or certifications demonstrating ability to design, develop, code, compile, test, debug and document application programs in a specific procedural and/or object oriented programming language. (Unidata, UniBasic, JAVA, C++, Envision or traditional BASIC is a plus.)

2.Extent of experience in developing, enhancing and maintaining application programming for an integrated information system (ERP), preferably Colleague.

3.Extent of experience with life cycle development practices and procedures.

4.Evidence of programming skills utilizing relational databases. (MS SQL Server is a plus.)

5.Extent of programming experience demonstrating ability to design and write programs for non-automated business functions/processes. (Working in higher education a plus.)

6.Extent of experience in analyzing programming problems and devising solutions.

7.Extent of experience with application development utilizing Microsoft Access.

8.Extent of experience in utilizing business requirements for programming efforts.

9.Extent of experience in coordinating ad communicating programming issues and concerns.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1.Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; occasional weekend and after-hours when necessary. Work schedule is subject to change based on department needs.

2.Applicant must work as scheduled during peak periods; for example, critical implementations and high impact problems.

3.Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written Standard English.

4.As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.

5.A limited background investigation will be conducted prior to offer of employment. A signed authorization for release of personal information will be required if selected for an interview.
