Job Description: The Division of Nephrology Research is seeking a candidate who demonstrates the ability to manage study patients, document history, schedule testing, and maintain open communication with patients and physicians. Duties of this position include the coordination of patient care and daily management of multiple clinical trials. Candidate should be able to communicate needed information to the Principle Investigator, Director of Research, physicians, nurses or other clinical research staff. He/She will work closely with the Principle Investigator to ensure the conduct of the clinical trial is in accordance with the protocol design and should also be able to work with physicians in preparing protocols and serve as primary contact with the study sponsor during pre-study initiation phases of the clinical trial. Candidate will participate in the formulation, implementation, and enforcement of policies and will develop advertising and promotional materials for study subject recruitment and obtain informed consent prior to initiating any study-related procedures. He/She will also administer routine and/or special tests as described in the protocol and will be required to complete necessary documents (i.e., regulatory documents for sponsor).

A BSN is preferred and one year of nursing experience.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center (formerly Pitt County Memorial Hospital). Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
