Job Description: The Social/Clinical Research Assistant assists the Director of Research in the implementation of
activities associated with grant projects including maintaining budgets for incoming grants and pre-reviewing time and effort in the effort
reporting system. Selected candidate will prepare monthly reports for PIs and Director, schedule meetings with other university programs and
departments, preparing meeting summaries, preparing progress reports to funding agencies, collecting and organizing data from student
records relevant to grant activities, and preparing correspondence associated with these activities. This position will also act as
coordinator and evaluator for the Regional Medicine-CDC Public Health Education Center funded by the Association of American Medical
Colleges (AAMC) and Center for Disease Control (CDC). These Center duties involve scheduling of meetings with various medical school faculty
and medical student teaching sessions, as well as collection of evaluation data and preparation of quarterly reports required by funding
agencies. This position is responsible for research activities on MPH Program evaluation requiring collection and analysis of data on
student competencies for required annual report for maintenance of annual accreditation; collecting data and performing analyses of medical
student and resident physician skills as measured by OSCEs (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations), a joint project between the
Department of Public Health and Office of Clinical Skills; assisting the Chair in scheduling meetings on research and related program
activities; writing reports as necessary on the progress of the MPH Program in meeting its stated goals for presentation to executive
committee, faculty, and students; and maintaining files and records with respect to the above activities. The selected candidate will serve
as backup for the Business Services Coordinator in maintaining budgets for department, grant budgets, tracking financials and submitting
reports to chair on a monthly basis. Will serve as backup for Business Service Coordinator to process personnel actions for new hires,
rehires and peer evaluations. Orders supplies, submit work orders, and other duties assigned by department chair.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
Salary Grade Equivalent: 66 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
